🥗 Homemade Ranch Dressing

A creamy, tangy, and herby dressing that's perfect for salads, dips, and more.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for added tang)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.

  2. Add Herbs and Spices:
    Stir in the dried dill, dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add lemon juice if using.

  3. Mix Well:
    Whisk all ingredients until well combined and smooth.

  4. Chill:
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. Serve:
    Use as a dressing for salads, a dip for vegetables, or a sauce for your favorite dishes.

Storage

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Best consumed within 5–7 days.
  • Stir before each use, as separation may occur.

Notes

  • Adjust the thickness by adding more or less buttermilk to reach your desired consistency.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Fresh herbs can be used in place of dried ones for a more vibrant flavor.
