Refreshing Shirazi Salad
Ingredients
- Cucumber, chopped into small dice
- Tomatoes, chopped into small dice
- Onions, chopped into small dice
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Dried mint
Optional Ingredients
- Finely chopped fresh mint
- Minced garlic cloves
- Avocado
- Sour grape juice (instead of lemon or lime juice)
Instructions
- Chop the cucumber, tomatoes, and onions into small dice and add them to a bowl.
- Season with extra virgin olive oil, freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and a generous sprinkle of dried mint.
- Toss until the ingredients are well combined.
- Serve it on a bed of hummus with some warm pita bread on the side.
