Ingredients
- 2 pounds garlic cloves
- 1 cup korean soy sauce
- 1 cup rice vinegar
- 1 cup rice cooking wine
- 1/2 cup sugar
Process
- Completely dry the garlic cloves before moving to next step
- Make brine out of everything but garlic
- Fill a clean jar with garlic cloves and brine. Make sure every clove is covered with brine
- Let sit on room temperature for 2 days
- Store in the fridge for 3 weeks. Make sure to turn the jar upside down once in a while to avoid molding.
- Enjoy as a side dish with meat, dumplings, or noodles
Note: expect the flavor to be garlicky, savory, sweet, acidic, spicy and crunchy
Note: to take the spice out, boil the ginger cloves before putting them in the jar
